Ancient Egypt symbols.A

Taking just a glimpse of ancient Egypt legendry symbols is enough to boggle someone’s mind , the broad imagination which led those genius artists to create one of its kind holy images that no body ever thought of it , makes ancient Egypt more mysterious !. Staring at Giza sphinx for a moment could be the best way to realize how fortunate Egypt was with its artists. Creating such emblem with such harmony between man‘s head and lion’s body is a splendid creation. We think the sphinx symbolically refers to a ruler that enjoys wisdom and strength.

The Hathoric pillar is another great symbol which required a smart imagination from the artist as he was able to establish a unique harmony between woman facial features and the cow ones. In such symbol Hathor, goddess of love and beauty, is depicted with an oval face and a broad nose as well as horns and ears of cow meanwhile it has delicate woman face features as for the eyes ,the mouth ,the cheeks and the hair. The utmost challenge for that genius artist was to maintain that symphony between the animal and the man in a way that keeps Hathor beauty distinguished. Indeed we may not be able to create such symbol today.( painting by Yasser Kamel) Written by Yasser Kamel for Museumegypt.2006.
