Ancient Egyptian walls and floors.B

F-6 . The step pyramid complex.

Looking at the ancient temples walls and floors would inspire one technique that was followed in order to cut stones can interlock in such the way observed in ( F-2) which is being stones  cut from one spot in a specific quarry according to an exact plan. The pre cutting plan should help in creating such interlocking stones for unrepeated structure which means that such floor or wall would not be removed or restored without the original plan!. The great evidence on such theory is our obvious fail to reconstruct floors of the ancient temples which had to be rescued because of lake Naser and the effect of the High dam between 1960-1980 see (F-4).

F-4. The floor of Philae temple after it has been reconstructed.

The most ancient stone structure that was laid out on interlocking stones is the step pyramid complex which goes back to the 3rd dynasty and to Zoser’s reign(F-5) &(F-6).

F -5. The step pyramid complex was laid out on interlocking stones.
